Il Tempio

Il Tempio, snuggled at the edge of the jungle is one of the most rustic Italian restaurant i have ever seen! Even though this is my first time in a authentic Italian restaurant. =)

With candlelit walkways and sounds of nature.
An assortments of freshly baked breads.

Amuse bouche of lime, basil and mint concoction. Refreshing! A complimentary drink from the chef
We begin our dinner with a Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio on Parmesan Chip with Puree of Asparagus, Poached Cherry Tomatoes and Wild Rocket Salad with Aged Balsamic.

Followed by an entree of ravioli stuff with foie grass and scallops, seasoned with white truffle sauce topped with leek foam and pistachio nuts

My main course, steam white cod fish with potato & spinach tart, sauteed baby vegetables and little crab meat tortellini in shell fish consomme. It was alright nothing to shout about.

Main course Grilled Australian Beef tenderloin with Wasabi Mash, Glazed Shallots and Rosemary Demi-Glace. The texture of the beef was delightful. It melts in your mouth! The wasabi mash was awesome! love it alot. Cause I like wasabi a lot. It complimented the beef well.

And for dessert we ordered a chocolate tart which comes with a scoop of ice cream and vanilla foam! Thumbs up for the dessert.

Great Dinner, Great Companion, Great Birthday!

Mon Anniversaire

I decided to have a small bbq for elyn and I to celebrate our birthday! So we invited some close friends over to my place =)
The BBQ grill. Borrowed from my aunty!(LMK)

Seafood tofu and pork, pork marinated with hickory bbq sauce which gave it a smoky taste. I added some onions and garlic when marinating to give extra flavor.. i wanted to add the bird eyes chili but forgot!
Theres also chicken fillet marinated with miso paste, beef tenderloin which was a hit among my friends, corn, sweet potatoes, and also taiwan sausages, squid marinated with tom yum paste, and prawns (not fresh)

Bacon wrap in asparagus. Trim and peel off the ends of asparagus. (The strings) Then blanched the asparagus in salted water before wrapping it.

Simple potato salad. Bacon+potatoes+mayonaise=AWESOME!
actually it was spose to have carrots, zuchini and onions.
I forgot! Again.

Didnt took enough pictures of the food because everyone was busy eating! Anyways I had a great time.

Hello! This is my food blog.

Foooddd

Pan Seared Sea Bass with Con fit tomatoes and saute mushroom (hidden behind the fish) and finished with Holandaise Sauce.

Pan Seared Duck ( pink on the inside) topped with mango salsa accompanied with pilaf curried rice, braised red cabbage, saute asparagus finished with duck jus.
The rice was lovely.

Herb and hazelnut crusted rack of lamb accompanied with savory yogurt sauce with raisin couscous, tomato salsa and tempura courgettes.
The lamb was a bit on the rare side. But the taste was nice. I only ate the sides. The herb crust was awesome!

Chicken roulade served with beetroot sauce, accompanied by zucchini wrapped with roasted tomato, celery and ricotta cheese and a pumpkin ravioli with brown butter sage sauce, topped with pumpkin puree.

Last Dish! Roast beef and yorkshire pudding with roast gravy, beef bourguignon with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. Garnished with green oil and red pepers.
